Anxious thoughts and depressive feelings can spiral out of control very quickly. What is worse than feeling depressed? Being expected to be happy & being gaslighted when expressing your unwellness. By family. By therapists. By friends.

This is how I often feel. It gets better, but seasonal blues often strikes me in December.
Why? It’s my birthday, Christmas & NY, so I feel peer pressure & self-aware. I always feel prisoner of my anxious, low self-esteem personality, but it strikes hard then. #mentalhealth

For multiple personal reasons, December is a stressful month for me, especially this year.
