During times of tragedy, unrest, of total bewilderment with this prevailing acceptance of anger, hatred & violence, one feels so helpless to create any significant change. But my fellow artists, let's keep making our voices heard thru our work. Keep creating amidst destruction.
I am thrilled to have been accepted into the 2022 Hudson Valley Plein Air Festival. I was so humbled that my painting, "Leave the Light On for Me" won Best Nocturne last year! I look forward to this every year (This will be my 4th year participating (Wow- time flies)
Still pretty darn chilly this morning. Come on, Mother Nature, release Spring already!
If you ever see some weirdo excitedly running up to lilac trees and smelling them, that would be me! Oh I also like to paint them (I get less crazy looks that way! 😂) Hoping all this rain will create some beautiful spring blooms!
Good morning Twitterland! Here's a sketch I did of someone I had a HUGE crush on as a kid! He adorned every book cover I had in 6th grade!!!! 🙂 I even named one of my pet rabbits Frampton in his honor back then! @peterframpton . Wishing you all a wonderful start to the weekend.
Top O' the Morning to you all! Happy St. Patrick's Day! I drew this little guy a while back. He really seems like his name should be Jimmy! Jimmy is here to bring you every best wish and good fortune for a wonderful day today! Enjoy!
Happy Birthday, @JamesTaylor_com ! Wishing you a wonderful day filled with music, laughter and love! Here's an illustration I did a while back, inspired by seeing you at Tanglewood a few years ago! Cheers!
Flashback portrait of Madonna I did a while back. My former hairstylist once asked me to paint her for him (he was a huge fan). Sadly, he passed away and I never got the chance. So this is for you, David! Each day truly is a precious gift! Have a great one! @Madonna
As an art history enthusiast, I've always loved watching Sister Wendy Beckett's engaging shows. While I'm not quite sure what she would think of my painting of her, it was done with utter reverence and respect for this wonderful woman. @PBS #arthistory @metmuseum
Ok, for better or worse, here’s my second painting for the Hudson Valley Plein Air Festival. I had fun with this one, and didn’t get too hung up on details, because quite honestly, I was under some pretty tight time constraints and had to paint at warp speed! 😂
