Really hoping to see the return of Bridget. Really fun character with their yoyo-based moveset. Good short and mid-range and a decent projectile with recall (yoyo, remember?) that basically make them also function as, like, a super, super simple trap character.
Video game trivia: the Ouya controller is the only game controller that has an A button but doesn't have a B button. https://t.co/1EOoIgnD10
There are a few really surprising omissions. Games that felt so quintessentially Xbox that you'd think they'd be the first games made BC.
FEZ, Dead Rising, Dead or Alive 4
A few games with native Xbox One versions that didn't make their 360 versions BC which is a biiiiiiiiit shit, but eh. Not a big deal. Notably: Batman Arkham games, Dark Souls II.
and i swear to god if someone posts one more opinion that gets this response...
Gaplus (2020). Can't say it's necessarily a step up from Galaxian and Galaga, but the way that it evolved the series' famous power-ups is clever and a lot more player-friendly / less oblique. Movement patterns are still top-notch.
Remnant: From the Ashes. Loved it. Shooting feels incredible. Difficulty is really well balanced. Boss fights are memorable.
My only reservation is that I'm not sure the proc-gen brings much to the table. Would probably be a touch better with hand crafted levels. Small quibble.
But for anyone who enjoyed Outer Wilds' brand of use-your-own-IRL-brain galaxy-spanning mysteries, Heaven's Vault is a great follow up.
Soundtrack is magnificent too; and it should go without saying -- writing is top-notch (and there's SO MUCH of it -- it's the 80 Days team).
Plugging my favorite album again. The Theory of Everything by Ayreon is a concept album / prog rock opera (different singers play each character) about a battle between geniuses. Medicine awakens a genius from a borderline comatose state but with troubling ethical implications
