I find the Godzilla films that kick off new eras tend to be some of the most vivid time capsules of the series.

Shin Ultraman was an unexpectedly life-affirming movie. Really strong script and fun action sprinkled throughout. I would’ve loved it even more if the VFX utilized some more oldschool tokusatsu goodness, but that aside, this is a very sweet film.

Ultraman's ass was too flat tho

It should have happened sooner, but I'm glad they eventually brought him back. Iron Will's one of the funniest characters in the show.

@blockbustedpod right?? I was thinking the same thing. Couldn't help but draw comparisons to how much more interesting the visual language of the 1989 film was compared to this new one.
