i LOVE the way homestuck uses foreshadowing and callbacks to reinforce the logic of its world

jade gets into a battle with an imp, who is now radioactive and shit cuz of bec and we KNOW how annoying and dangerous this thing is bcuz it calls back to our earlier encounter with bec

jade's world is frozen over and i like to think this is a little pun on the idea of nuclear winter

that black then connects AGAIN to the playing card motif of the midnight crew, specifically to spades slick\jack noir, whose black color scheme allows him to be represented by a SPADE, the symbol of HATRED in homestuck, symbolizing how jack is a being of pure hatred

the felt's green connects to the BLACK and WHITE of the cue ball and 8-ball, who are connected by those colors to the black and white of the chess piece symbolism of skaia

snowman is the 8-ball of the felt, and also a black queen

bec is represented by GREEN bcuz that's the color we associate with radiation, but it also connects to the green of the felt, who are green bcuz that's the color of a pool table

the felt ofc being the servants of doc scratch, who is a first guardian just like bec

but u gotta give jack one thing

he does look cool as fuck

but HOW did this happen?? cuz john WAS going to prototype a worthless doll to make jack WEAKER, and yet this happened instead

well while trying to prototype the sprite, john fell asleep
bcuz of a CERTAIN SOMEONE

the long and short of it is that thru a mysterious """accident""", jade's sprite was prototyped with bec the radioactive superdog, which has caused jack noir to go furry mode

this has made him supremely powerful bcuz furries are just like that

karkat's finally gonna give us some fuckin ANSWERS!!! specifically, he's gonna explain what exactly it was that john and his friends did that caused jack noir to become the multiverse devouring superbeast he is

but even karkat doesn't quite grasp the full picture...
