A #FashionHistory snapshot of pelisses during the #Regency era for a lengthy post I'm working on, including how they differed from the redingote.
#FashionHistory from 1823, when #Regency waistlines were finally hovering at the natural waist. "Morning Exhibition Dress" of "mignionet leaf green" "Open Brandenburgh" trim of "narrow rouleaux and trefoils." Reach out for an archive quality copy of any of my restored plates!
One of the 80 #Regency fashion plates I'm presently restoring for a #FashionHistory project. Hailing from 1812, this depicts a “Short pelisse of deep lilac, shot with white" with loop crossings and Spanish buttons, a bear muff, a helmet with a laurel wreath and white feathers.
#Regency #FashionHistory plate from 1809. One of 80 I'm restoring and recoloring by hand for a project. I love this one. The detail is delightful.
