Double page sketch of the mountain forest with low hanging clouds.

I loved how the red eyes and blue highlights of the Erythomma najas popped with the dark water and green leaves.
Maybe I will find the time to do a proper painting of this.

Sadly some dragonflies get caught in the mist nets and while we tried to free them, not all survived. This Orthetrum cancellatum was one of them. I still don't know how to mix their specific shade of blue.

This Aeshna mixta was rather early (4th July) and didn't survive the night. But it was a good study object.

View from the observation tower at the ringing station Hamburger Reit (got invited by @Lisa_Pannek and joined for a weekend). I forgot to leave space for the water.

Visited @Lisa_Pannek in June and did some sketching in her garden.
