“Inerrancy” of the Bible tries to insist on an unreasonable level of biblical literalism & is a modern development in the history of Christianity. Even M.Luther &J.Calvin showed awareness that “not all the text was to be taken literally” (Gnuse, 2257, “Inspiration of Scripture”).
