Erebos, Bleak-Hearted. Done for Theros Beyond Death, as part of the special showcase cards set. This guy is one of my all-time favorites, and getting the chance to work on his card was one of the highlights of my year.

This is Mother Hydra, Herald of the deep, and queen of the deep ones. For this design, I wanted to make a less conventional water monster, and combine the regal elements of a jellyfish with other deep sea creatures.

I’ve been working on a project for the past 6 months, something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, re-imagining the whole Cthulhu Mythos, this new poker deck will feature a series of original work interpreting the designs and concepts of these strange creatures in some new ways.

Here is a larger shot of my new card spoiled for mtg Eldraine, the Tuinvale Treefolk! He's a friendly old tree, his main hobbies include, long walks in the woods, gardening, bird buddies, and glowing butterflies. This is also my second favorite image I created last year!
