I just realized Bony Beetles are in New Super Mario Bros. U, and it made me so happy. When I first met my old friend Jerry (@orangishred), he brought a laptop with him (this was like 3rd or 4th grade), and he had a fangame he made where you play as a Bony Beetle.

I honestly don't remember much about gen 6 other than the Pokemon themselves, but while it had the smallest batch of new ones, it also had a lot of really solid designs. Hawlucha in particular is one of my favorites, and it is a CRIME they weren't in Pokken. Justice for Hawlucha!

I got into Pokemon in gen 3 with FireRed, but I eventually got super into the Hoenn games. I've always loved these guys, there's so many fun designs from this generation. Hoenn was such an interesting setting, even if there was definitely too much water.

I never played the original gen 2 Pokemon games until last year, but I've always had a special attachment to these guys thanks to Colosseum, HeartGold/SoulSilver, and Smash. I like how most of this generation's Pokemon have sort of a muted, pastel color palette.

I'm working on more Pokemon stuff and I realized like half of the early Pokemon have the exact same tiny triangle teeth. I'm getting tired of drawing them.

After drawing some of the new Pokemon, I had the idea to draw 6 of my favorites from each of the past generations. Gen 1 is definitely my least favorite, but here's some Pokemon I will always love either way!

Here's the other one! I took the Shadow design I did for my Sonic project and removed the gun, since it was for a young child. These were both one-off designs, but I might eventually put them up somewhere publicly!
