Client was complaining to me about how many archaeological site reports focus on artifacts & processes, and not on the people whose lives were recorded in the strata.

He said that instead of presenting a site as a human story, we tend more often to spew out technical verbiage.

Doing GIS work on a site that was reported as completely destroyed (artifacts on bare upland clay) over 20 years ago, but the State, for some reason, wants my client to test the site.

Don't we have more important archaeology things to spend money on?
