TO INSPIRE | Makoto Toya (b.1944), currently in his 70s, has been drawing since his teens. He states that he feels something akin to a ‘high’ as draws. This of course doesn't last forever, thus he feels the urge to continue drawing until he reaches that state of eurphoria again.

IN CONVERSATION | Margaret Mousseau’s work was bought to my attention last year by her son in #America. Her work, started 4 years ago, often features topical issues or events that have happened in her life.

MANCHESTER | In these uncertain times let’s remind ourselves of the uplifting exhibition earlier in the year at @CastlefieldGall ‘Thumbs Up’ 👍🏻. It featured two artists from @VentureArts Leslie Thompson & Michael Beard as featured here, alongside two artists without a disability.

NEW YORK | Making her debut at @outsiderartfair is #MargaretMousseau who only started drawing in her sixties as part of her therapy.

This piece titled ‘Flying Away From Home’ has something to do with Margaret’s youth when she was trying to run away from something. #oafnyc2020

LONDON | Get yourself to the #AntonyGormley exhibition at the @royalacademy before it closes on 3 December - the room with the twisted #aluminium #wire is amazing as this has expanded during the exhibition!

LONDON - Last night I caught ‘The Mediums Medium’ - @Gallevery booth at @FriezeArtFair Masters. Some incredible spiritual art drawings can be viewed so I highly recommend it if you can get along.

It’s only on this weekend in #London but the show at their gallery is up longer!
