Tried something else today: I started with the tones (in “charcoal”) and then built up to inks (the opposite way than the way I usually do it). I’d like to get up to the point where I can draw characters out of my head (and like them). I have no idea who these people are.

An hour into @noahbradley's three-hour intro to landscapes*. I did this tonal study before my martial arts class. It's rough (got distracted by the color), but I like it. And for the first time recently, I'm actually excited rather than frustrated. : )
