It is easy to forget, but Jag is canonically fucking enormous. The Elder Dragons are the only beings capable of challenging him. Fortunately for everyone else, he has no desire to rule or conquer. He only wants to grow. Forever.

Just how he grew this much never made it into the tales, but it is quite save to say that a man of his size and libido has certain needs that can be quenched in only one way.
If they find no pirate nor monster, then it may well be that his crew will have to sate his needs.

A hunter.
Between his inspiring presence and his skill with the blade, he became renown for vanquishing pirates and monsters alike.
And as his fame grew, his body seemed to grow right along with it.
Money was never a great motivator for Kehk, and the life of a merchant was not his. Whenever his ship made port somewhere, he sought out the taverns and bars, listening and sharing the latest tales of heroism from across the sea.
Inspired by exaggerated tales of his father's exploits and heroism, Kehk decided at a young age to take to the sea, in the hopes of one day meeting his seemingly legendary father.
During that time he learned to wield the blade and inspire his fellow crewmen.
