My friend Eric Brown died a couple of days ago.

Eric was an excellent and consistently underrated author whose work was full of humanity, compassion and vision.

In person he was kind, empathetic, thoughtful and self-effacing.

Do yourself a favour and read one of his books.

Firefly: The Ghost Machine is up for a Dragon Award. This is the plucky little franchise that has survived premature cancellation and has kept flyin' ever since.
