Spent the Evening at a Feast which Mr James & Richard Clarke made at the New-Hospital… Mr Pope & his Daughter supped &c with us. Mr Pope was got so merry that he left his Daughter behind. It was a mighty noisy Day that was made of it indeed.

The Wind being very high… and at Night rather higher with violent Storms of Rain at Times… I did not go to bed till after 3 o’clock… Pray God protect all those that were dangerously exposed particularly all poor Creatures at Sea and in it.
