COSMIC SPLASH! Here’s another gouache illustration I did today. This one was done using gouache, Copic markers, white Deleter ink, a little white gel pen, and some silver Coliro metallic paint to add some in-person sparkle. These are fun! ✨

Trying out this dry-brush gouache thing by testing materials. On mixed-media paper it makes a cool pastel-chalk effect but it’s too rough. Reactivating it with water makes a great drip effect but it’s hard to use for blending. But there’s potential here. I’m on to something!

Uuuuuuuh...... I think I just, uh... accidentally invented a new way to start using color in my illustrations? I’m sure I’m not the first person to stumble upon this, but it turns out you can dry-brush with gouache?? I, uh...... need to explore this a little farther. Huh.....

This illustration’s getting weird. I have literally no idea where I’m going with this and I’m throwing random art supplies at it - some of which I’ve never used before - and I’m just along for the ride with this one. We’ll see what kind of chaotic mess I manage to turn out 😂☠️

Went to Sidetrack in Boystown, Chicago to watch the finale of Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 11 and they were handing out fans of the Top 4 so I grabbed an @oddlyyvie fan ‘cause I’ve been #TeamYvieOddly as hell. I won’t spoil who wins the crown but regardless, Yvie was STUN-NING 💖✨

The Swedish clowns are back in town! Got to see Avatar (@AVATARmetal), one of my favorite bands, last night at the House of Blues in Chicago! I mean, how many metal bands would dress up like carnies and play a country gospel song while filling the venue with bubbles?! ❤️💛🖤
