Kutuzov desperately tried to rectify the situation, but his men could only be deployed piecemeal and much of his command was destroyed. Bagration was being pushed back slowly but steadily and by midday was virtually cut off from the rest of the Allied army.

At just the right moment, the vanguard of Davout’s corps arrived on the battlefield and briefly managed to retake Telnitz before being forced out again by repeated Allied charges. Meanwhile the French in the village of Solkonitz held their ground against the initial Allied attack

This small contingent was attached to the Chasseurs of the Imperial Guard in 1804. Their finest hour would be at Austerlitz, where they were at the van of the French counterattack that pushed back the cavalry of the Russian Imperial Guard.

I might have to make a thread about the French Irish Brigade at some point. They are quite possibly the most badass military unit I have ever read about. I'll try to include as many of their exploits in my French army thread as possible, but I think they deserve their own thread.

For all its flaws, the Bourbon Restoration in 1814 did at least bring some really nice uniforms to the French army via the "Black" and "Gray" Musketeers (adjectives came from the uniform colors of each unit's horses).

And finally, the Danes:
1. Danish Dragoons (those helmets are amazing)
2. Danish horse artillery
3. Danish foot artillery (very similar to normal line infantry but I like the slight variation)
4. Danish grenadiers (quite possibly my favorite grenadiers)
