@AdamStarRuvola @AustinGorton @bthomasa Apparently all the Summers boys like a good dramatic entrance.
This one always cracked me up. Picturing Scott hidden behind the double doors, waiting for his cue… 😄
Attack Pig cupcakes for my Time Problems #booklaunch party tomorrow! I’m signing books and doing readings! It’s not too late to RSVP! https://t.co/TMPqW3nbMr
@GailSimone I loved Cynthia Martin’s work from the later Marvel Comics Star Wars series. Underrated character designer. Look at these, especially Lumiya! So cool.
@iCreativeArtist The original Blue Beetle had to say KAJI DHA! to activate his powers (which came from a mystic scarab).
@alan_smithee_jr @starwars_chars Agreed, Dani was awesome. I loved the new characters introduced in the old Marvel Star Wars comics. And a truly awesome villain, Lumiya, a triumph of character design if I ever saw one. Cynthia Martin is underrated as an artist!
@starwarsbronze Cynthia Martin does not get the credit she deserves for amazing character design. I love all of these, especially Lumiya the Dark Lady. Lumiya looks unique (not a Vader rip off like so many others) and awesome. Martin was way ahead of her time with the manga influences.
Gotta love the melodrama of old FF comics 😄
Without powers, you think you’re nothing, Reed? Really? You’re one of the most brilliant scientists in the world, man!
FF #38, 1961. Lee, Kirby, Stone
@GoshGollyWow @Clifi_Clare Wow, I liked Cerise back in the day but this podcast is really making me see just *how* underused she was as a character! And here’s something about this issue I noticed: this is the SECOND time in FIVE issues that Cerise is knocked out from behind and doesn’t even get to fight!
My July 3 is taking a much needed nap, reading lots of #Wolverine comics on #MarvelUnlimited (Honey Badger may be my new favorite character 😊) and dinner with friends. You?
