My first thought after reading Avengers 1,000,000 BC #1 (2022) was, “This is so Jean.” As White Phoenix, she is/was not bound by the laws of time, space, a corporeal form, or physical reality. Jean’s showing in X-Men #13 is amazing. @GerryDuggan continues to do wonders with her and this series as a whole. The issue opens with Jean’s simple yet beautiful words of encouragement, before we’re immediately thrust into the action alongside her. #XSpoilers 1/4

Finally, Jean made peace with herself, after which Xavier revealed he had been monitoring her all along but felt it was vital for her to undergo her experience alone. In turn, Jean vowed to stop going through the motions and live an amazing life for both herself and Annie. 6/7

While I can't wait for Jean to get her hands dirty in Judgment Day—really, I can't wait—I have to say, I *love* how @kierongillen is portraying her. She’s giving me HBIC vibes. And this is just Kieron giving us a soupçon of Jean. I know the full meal is going to be 🤌🏼. #XSpoilers
