I painted this last year and hadn't thought about it until recently. The black is gouache but all of the anatomy is mechanical pencil. I wanted to mess with the contrast of big sloppy brush strokes next to meticulous meditative hatching and see if I could create harmony. 11x17in

Personal #Daredevil painting I recently finished. It started as a rejected sketch for a Nightwing cover I did years ago. I worked it 3/4 finished back then & recently used it as morning warm up until I finished. No deadline so I did a bunch of experimenting that I think paid off

The shapes and angles in this face were really cool to fit together.
