Following a conversation with @flygirlNHM yesterday, I've produced an animation showing the spread of the UK's largest hoverfly Volucella zonaria across Europe, arriving in the UK in the 1940s. Was it really unknown outside of Spain in the 1930s? @StevenFalk1 @cmhmaliani @GBIF
