Unlike Velvet, who is mostly just The Aesthetic, Sync the Tempest is basically the exact same character as Vanitas... but green. Right down to the "not even my face is my own" and iconic masks and utterly nihilistic outlook :)

I've figured it out. I think the reason I'm so soft for Aeleus these days? Same reason Kuwabara is one of my favs in YYH. Big, tough looking guy? Actually really sensitive deep down, would do anything to protect others in need.
