On this day 9 years ago, Dark Souls II was released on console in North America and in the following days in Japan and Europe. PC followed a bit later.

Have some older concept art for that occasion.

Wanted to try Dalle a little bit.

So there are 64 unique icons. Ranging from regular soldiers, nobels, to animals, demi-humans, even Godskins and a few I don't even recognize, but I don't see any major bosses in here.

My favorites so far what I would assume are "Caelid Dog", "Caelid Crow" and the "Pigeon".

The swordsman uses what resembles a coiled sword. Additionally both enemies are partly shrouded in darkness, reminding me of Nito's own coat.

Dark Souls concept art trivia.

The Collector's Edition Art Book contains a concept art of the "Brain Bug"/"King Larva & Mosquitos" enemy, which then became cut content.
On the left the concept art and on the right the base model from the game.

There is an Art Book from a Dark Souls Collector's Edition and it contains a Fat Official riding on a boar. Dark Souls: Remastered brought his actual textures to us.
