@dune5and Cool! This is Toni the oni. The mascot for my yokai Twitter (the one I’m using here) He’s a super enthusiastic guy who wants to make friends and talk about neat stuff.
The cat monster is my yokaisona. You don’t have to draw her if you don’t want to.
.@GaijinGoombah made a video about the amabie craze currently going on in Japan and- !

An obvious example: Tanuki. If I can’t talk about how tanuki use their balls for shapeshifting there’s almost no point in talking about them because it’s such a huge part of them (literally and figuratively!)
@kazama68310319 @mari_kitsunebi I love namahage!! They're one of my favorite yokai! Here's one I drew a long time ago
Tsukumogami are objects that have sprouted limbs and facial features after years and years of use or misuse. Whether they're friendly or malicious depends on how their owners treated them.
Kasa Obake is a paper umbrella tsukumogami with a leg in place of a handle.
Ittanmomen appears as a long white cloth fluttering in the wind. But once it gets close to a person it wraps itself around that person's face and suffocates them to death. It was popularized by the anime Gegege no Kitaro in which the protagonist rides it like a magic carpet.
Kamikiri's name literally means "hair cutter". It's a yokai that sneaks up behind people and snips their hair off without them noticing.
