#FaceYourLandscape These four were painted plein air (from life) back when I was traveling for plein air competition events. I think the experience informs the spooky landscapes that sometimes show up in my current studio works.

#FaceYourLandscape A lot of my work now is portrait based but I thought I'd show a few of my spooky landscapes, and to break everyone's brain, I'd also show a few of my favorite landscapes from when I was doing plein air painting events.

“Bog Witch,” 2017, watercolor, still one of my favorites. I love painting ferocious women! My actual personality is nothing like this but it’s something I wish I could channel more when I need it. (Limited edition prints available)

“Lantern Light,” 9” x 12” watercolor, 2019- original and limited edition print are available! I’m thinking about how to celebrate Halloween with lots of new art this year, maybe some writing too. Jack o lanterns make my heart happy. So do Ray Bradbury stories.

“Anguish,” 22” x 26” watercolor, 2018. Looking back at this complex piece in prep for an even bigger layered painting I’m working on. Not everyone wants to look at negative emotions in painting, but I hope for those who do it can provide catharsis and comfort in shared humanity.
