Here is the podocyte model cloned and spline deformed onto the glomerulus. Model slows things to a crawl so displacement it will have to be...
Our 2020 submission to the AMI Medical Illustration Sourcebook depicts activated chimeric antigen cells (CarT) going to town on some unwitting cancer cells. But you can just call them pink blobby things chomping on blue gnarly things. Rendered (way too long) in Arnold/C4D.
5) Well here's a pleasant surprise. Tried the same setup in CYCLES. HDRI, no diffuse-- just SSS and spec. I've never really touched it before, but settings were pretty inutitive. After 30 seconds of fiddling w/settings I got this. Longer render though since testing on a CPU mac
@nosemangr Looks like the mesh is damaged. Tried running through zbrush but the inverted polys didnt come through and couldnt be retopo'd. My workaround is using the normal direction shader in c4d to see and select the bad polys and invert manually. (gave them red color to easily see)
Breathing some life into some old internal projects to reuse for some new internal projects. Michael Welter's free Atmosphere plugin for C4D (plus 16k maps!) makes all the difference for planet renders.
zRemeshers been chewing on this for about 24 hours but If I deicde to abort, it wil have completed a moment later. Shroedingers Mesh?
sigh. After 3 hours of z-frustration I just want into c4d+xparticles and built this stupid platelet in 10 minutes.
Building lots of cells today for a project. Heres an astrocyte I just finished. On to sculpt detailing and texturing
