The amount of details I started putting in my work is crazy, here's 2016 vs. 2020. Mad how I went from drawing single subjects to being unable to carry on with a piece unless it was fully decked out with an environment. Very happy to see I was able to come this far!
2020
A drastic shift in methodology and an ongoing fight against constant burnout. A hard year for me as I'm battling a lot of my symptoms, resulting in smaller art output, but that doesn't mean it's over. Experimenting with lots of stuff. Life takes you to lots of places :-)
2019
An absolutely fantastic year as an artist, the year where I produced my most iconic pieces. More in-depth details incorporated, lots of interesting subjects & stories, just absolutely a phenomenal time in my book. Loey popped off this year, absolutely a legendary time.
2018
Way more daring, the beginning of something unfanthomable I think. Focal point is still there of course, but I think I stopped having a main subject and instead drew things that would require attention to every single corner of the drawing.
2017
The year Loey was born! Fully digitalised using CPS fulltime. Still a poor grasp with negative space, but again, obsessed with detail & focal point. Backgrounds for every piece, objects placed at any empty space.
