Romeo is... a pain in the butt to draw. I bought a compass that looks like it just so I don't have to imagine all its weird angles but still I struggle. I think I like this sequence because it rejects Charlie just like it always rejects me. Plus, the colors, come on!
The tessellation illusion pattern on Foxtrot has fascinated humans for literally thousands of years. From one perspective, it's concave, and you concentrate on other shapes and it's convex. Throw it into perspective like when the Diver reincorporates it and it's magical.
I wrote Echo as a "monster of the week" aspect before realizing just how much personality they have. Sadly I learned this too late, otherwise he'd be the third main character.
I remember dumping "Red And Blue" on Renee's lap and I'm still impressed at how well she made it work.
Renee always gives Charlie's face such STRUCTURE with how she lights his face. I think he's the easiest aspect to draw, even if he rarely looks the same twice – constant costume changes? The need to cycle between three colors? He blends in, he stands out. He does it all.
No matter the context, as a bright red blade, Bravo always looks supremely Elemental. It can look like almost anything because it's always recognizable--which means I don't have to spend too much effort keeping drawings of the immature kukri form too consistent.
A thread of Alpha Flag aspects, and my favorite drawings of them. Starting with... The Diver!
I always try draw him as human and beleaguered as possible, but then Renee always seems to tease out some 1940s movie star elegance with her colors and lighting.

It's the story about a man who wakes up on a beach missing various aspects of his mind that have escaped into the world as different objects, animals and people--and his search to reincorporate them and become a whole person again.
Today is the ✨10th anniversary✨ of when @emoxic and I started posting Alpha Flag online! So to celebrate we posted nine new pages this morning. 🥞
✒️Poison Pen Letter📧- a comic drawn in alternating turns with the inimitable @squidbunny. A comics game we play over the course of years. A story about a clueless knight and his mysterious companion? Maybe? Who knows: https://t.co/zhgUBzVBS0
