The Bunnie vs Rouge fight from Archie Sonic issue 116 by Karl Bollers and the excellent, phenomenal Jay Axer!

Spaz had been wanting a Sonic and Mega Man crossover since at least 2004... when his dream came true in 2013, he really went all out with the covers!

One observation I made: Ken Penders seemed to really like the idea of Sally Acorn wearing purple. The Sally robot doppelgänger from the Sally miniseries wore purple. Sally from Sonic Armageddon wore purple. Sally's daughter from 25 Years Later named Sonia Acorn wore purple.

Of course there were other storylines planned, some Mania-based stuff, and a four-part arc in Universe about the Freedom Fighters. And we were going to get Archie Metal Virus. Actually kinda glad the Archie comic died when it did, I hate Metal Virus and how it dragged on in IDW

Imma be real here when I say my favorite looks for Rouge the Bat are from Archie. Spaz, Jay Axer, Art Mawhinney, and Tracy Yardley especially.

Alright, posting this one in full because it's a really crucial issue that really cemented Ian Flynn's beloved Archie Shadow portrayal

Even more. Enerjak, Sonic's parents Jules and Bernadette Hedgehog, Feist, Kodos... these were Penders' as well. I love them, they were freaking awesome.
