Ben here are a couple of examples of what I did with a similar situation when I lettered my book. Personally, I only like to switch fonts on characters that I believe would sound incredibly different (like a dragon!) But I don’t think you can go wrong either way. Hope this helps!

I picked up a few of my dad’s saws. I wanted to make something out of wood, similar to what my dad used to make. Here’s a thread of the steps I took. Turned out pretty well for my first try!
