This book! READ IT! I mean, seriously— read it. And if you teach, say, 5th grade or middle school— read it with your classes.
Just a friendly reminder that our students and colleagues and neighbors and even the folks on the “Nextdoor” app are under a LOT of stress. A surprising tool in all of our toolboxes: doing something good. Reposting my booksketch of my favorite ed book. @RewardingEdu
As we think about what education should/might look like going forward, I (edu-book nerd) have 2 recommendations: anything by Nel Noddings, but especially The Challenge to Care in Schools, and, always, Teaching the Benefit Mindset by Robert Ward @RewardingEdu.
This is a book I recommend almost constantly. Brain research applied to education, in a far-reaching and highly readable text. It’s hard to imagine a teacher who would not learn something valuable from this book. #booksketch @ResiliencyInc
Combining my love of #sketchnoting and recommending books, here is #EducatedByDesign by @TheTechRabbi. So many good things in this book!
The @Promethean EC Book Club is reading about Rule 4–Stress— in #BrainRules. Interesting reading! @learnpromethean
Prepping my session for @Promethean 's July 19 Summer Camp Virtual Training-- Art & Music on the #ActivPanel! It's gonna be So. Much. Fun. #LearnPromethean
Better version... #sketchnote about showing results early in #ClassFlow. @ActivPD
