comparing my metal slug art from this year (left) to last year (right, excuse the bondage)
lookit how slim i used to draw the collar
i draw them so flailed out (for lack of better term) now that i can barely draw fio's ponytail like i usually do
thinking about how tomo is shorter than both kagura and osaka in the original azumanga, rather than she and kagura both being slightly taller than osaka in the anime
i like short tomo, it really highlights how much of a gremlin she is
if there's one thing i disliked about azumanga's art direction, it's prolly the way characters look when they're grinning (see yomi and kagura in pic related)
looks more like they're tryna drop a fat load to me
still amuses me a bit, so its not much skin off of my nose :shrug:
