Terraria is a... harsh game to the newer of players. Especially when the pair of new players only have a small friend for support!
Don't worry, they'll survive as long as Kara is around... to pick up their gold.

Faron, Kara, Jules, and Rosette!

Faron also has a daughter, but... she's not got a good ref yet!
Faron is the dood in a black shirt, Jules is the one with the heavy armour, Rosette is the angry axe wielder and Kara is Kara. The one that's white!
