@authorjessowen Cradle of Sea & Soil by Bernie Anès Paz came out of nowhere to be one of the best book I read that year.

Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon had the most boring cover, title, and description possible... and turned out to be Reign of Fire but epic fantasy.

I just had the frightening realization that I've written nine books since Eyrie. Honestly, it feels like just yesterday that Zeph was halfway up a redwood tree trying to catch a kakapo. (Zeph stickers by @StupidShepherd.)

@phandi It's hard to pick just one, but these are four covers that really stopped me in my tracks. (Sunrunner's Fire by Melanie Rawn, Dinosaur Lords by Victor Milan, The White Gryphon by Mercedes Lackey, and Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir.)
