@ReeskShrider We went back and forth there, but since the silvery, infected eyes looked better, we decided to use Quess on the front cover and Tresh in the interior artwork. The feet should be a little more avian. You can see what the eyes would have looked like uninfected:
@ReeskShrider Don't feel too bad for Younce, though! He got his beak on the cover of the short story collection, and his fluffy tail is also the very first interior art piece in Ashen Weald (by @/brendalyonsart).
@shertu_oce Thanks for the catches =] And I'm glad you liked it. I wanted Crestfall to be a happy book. This felt like a year we could use one, and it was nice to give Cherine the spotlight after all I've put the poor opinicus through. Plus... who can resist sand gryphons?
@DiannaLGunn My favorite books were Dragon Bound by Glenn Birmingham and Cradle of Sea & Soil by Bernie Anes Paz =] For games, Fell Seal felt like playing Final Fantasy Tactics again for the first time.
@amprivitere @BirminghamGlenn 99% of my screen shots from Fell Seal are gryphons.
@Shadow_Fluffz Yay! I'm honored to have been part of your gift card book buying experience =]
Though I can't help but notice that the Starling cover is bent a bit. If it arrived that way, definitely reach out and see if they'll send you a new one. Most places will!
Yay for gryphons reminding people to mask up }:> https://t.co/DeLKmMXEjd
@story_trail Your Hatzel last year was delightful =] If you're still looking for gryphony characters to draw for your challenge, may I suggest Kia? She's a red-shouldered parrot/orange tabby combination:
