If you're looking to support independent bookstores this week for your gryphon buying needs, it looks like Book Moon (@BookMoonBooks) has all five of my gryphon novels in paperback, hardcover, and large print =]

Good morning, internet. Let's write some gryphons, shall we? Seems like a good day to write about a certain rock-climbing wingtorn and a tall, spear-wielding crane opinicus who haven't been in the same place since Eyrie... surely there's no hard feelings there, right? ...right?
I often write several books before going back to edit the first. In editing, things change wildly. Without spoiling anything, an example of how much they change is that Reevesbane originally had a scene that was all about Zrim Feathermane teaching Ninox to be a leader...
Ninox is a fan favorite now, but she wasn't originally named in the first draft, though early readers/editors nicknamed her Strixette. A lot of characters get unnamed cameos in Eyrie (Henders at the gardens, Biski), but Ninox is one of the few who ultimately had her name added.
Late night #GryphIns fact: while writing the first draft of Eyrie, the reference I used for Ninox was a black-banded owl clutching its talons like it was a cartoon villain saying "Next time, squirrel. Next time!"
Black-banded owls are a type of strix owl, surprising no one.
This is a little thing, but I hate using up too much energy making food but I also get pretty tired of my own cooking. So today I made a casserole recipe I haven't made in years and it's like... heaven to taste something new that I cooked myself. Yay, casseroles?
@RevenantWings24 Oh, and if they love a character, @KittrelCoyote draws them a chibi heart of that character =] Here's a few examples (Sponge, Urious, Rybalt, and Grenkin).
I think that's it. Feel free to ask any questions =]
This week's infusion fell on our anniversary, so it was the usual stabbing and medicine plus a lot of roses and skeletal gryphons decorating the living room. Feels like a metaphor: married ten years, through stabbings and roses, but there's always been gryphons and happiness <3
Autumn is here! The Eyrie Sticker Megapack has been updated with a pink sparkle gourd thief sticker. Please consume pumpkins responsibly if you have a weak stomach or if you're hard to keep clean.
