As Climax's first role-playing game, the team wanted to emulate Japanese RPGs. The game design was strongly influenced by Secret of Mana and Star Ocean: The Second Story.

Title: Super Mario Strikers

The developers had worked on NHL Hitz Pro prior to Strikers, which served as an influence for the fast-paced and physical nature of the game. This was the last Mario game to be released on the GameCube.

Tremendous contributions from Imamura-san. His work on F-Zero X was my favourite. The comic book style in F-Zero X really made the series stand out visually. To me, it's his defining work. 👏 https://t.co/EP68cl3vza
