The past two weeks or so, have been busy, delivering workshops to community groups in Wolverhampton. Here I am with City of Sanctuary and working with the refugee community. It was a very lively workshop with 18 participants and a rewarding experience.

“KEEP DREAMING”

My solo exhibition opens at Museum of Cannock Chase on 20th May until the 4th of July. The fact that I am able to actually have a physical exhibition this year and be able to showcase my hard work, during the year of the pandemic is a wonderful feeling.

This painting has plenty of sunshine that’s for sure! It was a challenge to paint figures, pets and sculptures! Not the usual subjects for me but it’s certainly pushed and stretched me and that is what keep me growing as an artist.

Wishing you a beautiful new week.

I feel I can finally step away from this one and acknowledge it is done! This series of paintings are inspired by the ancient forest, Brocton Coppice in Cannock Chase. They form a body of work, towards an exhibition I daren’t even mention because of the current times!

“Keep Dreaming” is the title that I have decided on. Why? Because like this majestic tree that has withstood a storms of life for centuries, so can we. We can keep dreaming our dreams through life’s storms.

Inspired by the ancient forest in Brocton Coppice, Cannock Chase.

These are a few details of a larger piece that Im working on. Based on the ancient trees in Brocton Coppice in Cannock Chase, it’s probably got the record for the longest time taken for any of my paintings! 😂

Anyhow, here I am, determined to resolve it in 2021!
