Ancient Egyptians worshipped the sacred white lotus of the river Nile as as a symbol of creation. 💮 Extracting its perfume, they used it for funerary rites, temple decor & offerings. It's also a candidate for the plant eaten by the Lotophagi in Homer's Odyssey.

Robin Hood, a legendary heroic character in is depicted as an outlaw & forced to live in Sherwood with his 'merry men'. It's said he fought in the Crusades, but on his return to England, found his lands seized by the Sherriff of Nottingham. 🏹
