Similar construction on the fingers, modular and able to open up to reveal the tool underneath, but far more simple joint mechanisms overall that mimic the human arm a bit more.

The mechanical pieces could do with a big amount of proper design work, but basing them off a rodent skeleton for starters sounds like a neat idea

Thanks to also being based on a desert animal, Fiya can also take the heat quite well

jerboa don't really lose heat from their ears, though - maybe the longer eared ones do... They mainly avoid the heat because of their long thin limbs, and ability to dig deep, cool burrows

Did you know, the fennecs massive ears are one of their best tools to beat the heat? The weather out can get to 35c before they even need to *try* to get cooler
