The SocDems, are:
- Urban: if you see a huge city in +700, it's SocDem
- Technocratic: fancy tech and giant spaceships are their jam
- Moderate: they run a market economy with currency, albiet one of cooperatives and private property outlawed
- Buerocractic, out of necessity
An informal agreement began being bartered between these factions, and it was named the Winter Tide Alliance, with the focus of uniting these groups, hence one of the war propaganda posters above.
The obvious answer that I had always fell back on was, well, it's the residual Solstice War against the fash remnant, certainly. An inspiring story about Terrans who broke free from the shackles of oppression...
