A lot of people keep saying the new one looks really static, but no version animates after the finish. But the shirt and tail and hat naturally 'flatten' her design out in this pose, making it seem heavy, straight and flat. It's just compositionally weaker.

I jokingly decided to do the opposite but somehow this just looks more normal than the actual real version

I just realized that DI Sol and Waku Waku 7's Arina are basically rocking the same look, down to the big ears. God bless.

I think Dizzy is a good comparison character. Her wings don't do anything mechanically. She doesn't deploy them, they don't act like independent characters, but their animations sell their thematic concept

So I was saying that Fei-Long is like Sol Badguy but Chicken Wing is Fafnir, Bandit Bringer and Bandit Revolver all in one move and all he needed was gunflame and @noselfawareness got my back with the photoshop
