The Rush Harbour was built by the Dukes of Ormond in early 1400s and refurbished in 1640s at the demand of their tenants, the Rush fishermen and smugglers making it one of the oldest stone built harbours in Ireland. Here is an aerial photo from 1950 and 2021 by nature shots J P.
