I find it much easier to get proportions right when I draw super tiny, so the thumbnail sketch is my go-to best friend... It really helps me see the big picture (LOL)

Teeny sketches are good for more complex art, but I LOVE the one-and-done kissy method too

Nowadays I almost always do a teeny tiny thumbnail sketch, print a blown up copy to redraw over, then scan and color online

For the more kissy art, I usually just draw it fullsized straight out and hold onto my eraser for dear life

And to close out the decade right, here's an ancient Soriku drawing from 2009 by your good friend Retto. I thought the cheek pinch was the best 1:1 comparison LOL
