The Star Wars prequel trilogy and Star Trek: Enterprise came out around the same time. Both had bad CGI and were generally maligned but in retrospect, I admire how both franchises explored the times before the OG stuff and weren't heavy handed with Easter eggs and Nostalgia.

@DiscussingFilm I personally find the portrayal of Pakistani-Americans in the comics to be a lot more genuine and likeable.
