Little Ianthasaurus was one of the earliest Synapsids; a diminutive member of the Edaphosauridae, from the Late Carboniferous. Unlike its larger later cousins, Ianthasaurus was more lightly built, and had pointed, peg-like teeth that were better adapted for feeding on arthropods.
Dr. Henry Wu has dabbled in the creation of a variety of hybrid dinosaurs, some unbeknownst to even the Hammond Foundation. One of these hybrid creatures includes the "Spinoraptor"; a highly dangerous genetic cross between Velociraptor and Spinosaurus.
Last post for the year!
"A creature wanders restlessly through the darkness.
Silver light illuminates the land and mountains.
And with an entranced roar, it shows its true form."
I wanted to draw the MH newcomer: The Ice Wolf Wyvern, Lunagaron. A new Fanged Wyvern to debut in MHRise: Sunbreak.
I'm not a big Star Wars fan, but there are some things I like about it, like these guys:
Just felt like drawing my favorite Ultraman Kaiju: Gomora. Sometimes called the "Prince of Monsters" by some.
Celebrating one of, if not my favorite Speculative Evolution project and one of the oldest running: Snaiad, with some fan art.
Sometimes you can't help but want to draw a big theropod. Every Paleoartist does at some point. This time I bring you a very speculative reconstruction of the enigmatic and very large North African theropod Bahariasaurus as a large basal Coelurosaurian.
A pair of Paleoart reconstructions: Telmasaurus and Squalodon.
Telmasaurus was a medium sized basal Varanoid (a stem-Monitor lizard if you will) from the Late Cretaceous Flaming Cliffs of Mongolia. Squalodon is a macropredatory Platanistoid whale from the Oligocene and Miocene.
