The four schools of Valorian magic- Fleshcraft, Artifice, Mentalism and Nature Magic.
Fleshcraft- the study of magic which gives the user dominion over living flesh. Associated with the colour red. In the early 20th century, Ariadne Culver was the unchallenged master of that particular school of magic.
Artificery- the study of magic which gives the user dominion over manmade and artificial materials. Associated with the colour green. Eisen Iyer's area of expertise was metal and glass, but other artificers work with fabric, paper, ceramics, wood, and (in recent years) plastic.
Ariadne also had a son, Leonid Culver, of whom she was immensely fond. It's anyone's guess as to why- Leonid was noted as being extremely immature, with a nasty temper and pyromaniac tendencies. His one redeeming feature, perhaps, is the fact that he is portrayed by @VoicesByZane
