Godzilla is said to have "Absorbed DNA"? presumably by eating it. Geon evolved in a very similar way by eating the radioactive flesh of Poison Ghost, Rocky & Beetle Mania in between KoTM 1 & 2.
Geon ate radioactive alien-bug meat, polluted sludge and sentient rocks. Nasty.
