Hop is now tied with N as my favorite Pokemon rival and character in general outside the anime.

I feel that N has a more complex background and story, but no other character in the series has struck a chord with me personally as well as Hop did.

Anyone else realize that Sonia went through the exact same arc as Hop?

Was rivals with Leon, didn't succeed at matching his skills in battle, became a professor's assistant instead. After which she succeeds in that field and offers Hop a chance to do the same.

Some of y’all don’t think Rowlet is objectively one of the best things to exist ever and it shows.
